Regulatory Compliance

Companies are subject to a wide range of regulatory requirements especially in areas related to information privacy and security. Regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), USA Patriot Act, Gramm-Leach-Billey Act (GLBA), and Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) require companies to deploy systems, policies, and programs that enforce information security, information control, and information monitoring and reporting capabilities for corporate assets. Non-compliance with these acts can result in loss of customer confidence, regulatory fines and legal liability. A number of groups within a company need to be involved in planning for regulatory compliance including the IT, legal, finance, and operations departments. Check Point and its OPSEC partners offer joint solutions to help companies develop the IT controls needed to meet the security requirements of regulatory compliance.
