Company Description: Authenex Inc. is a security technology innovator headquartered in Oakland, California. The company has combined it's patented, next generation technology with the highest industry standards to deliver the most secure, flexible and affordable two-factor authentication and encryption products available today. Authenex' product line helps networks positively identify users, and keep mission-critical data secure for users that need access to VPN and web connections. Authenex is committed to providing the most economical and secure identification and encryption technologies available, to protect access to private data and initiation of digital transactions.

Key Features and Benefits
  • ASAS utilizes a unique a challenge/response puzzle-solving process between the A-Guard server and A-Key USB token, so that the shared secret and password are never communicated -- rendering it uncompromisable for authentication to VPN, LAN and web portal access.
  • ASAS provides integration with the latest technology platforms such as MS SQL, MSDE, and Oracle, as well as ISA, IAS, MS VPN, RADIUS, Check Point VPN-1 and Cisco VPN -- allowing customers to use off-the-shelf solutions, avoid the costs associated with training on new proprietary products while leveraging systems most networks are already using.
  • ASAS integrates with the leading VPN solutions in the market, supporting most industry VPN standards such as SSL, PPTP, and L2TP, as well as SSH, IPSec and x.509 digital certificates -- allowing seamless integration into an existing VPN infrastructure and providing networks with the most important piece to a secure VPN solution: assuring the identity of its users through two-factor authentication.
  • ASAS makes the roll out of security cost effective by offering a superior product at a price point that is typically 55%-65% less than competitive solutions, so security is not compromised because of overwhelming, budget-breaking up-front and recurring costs.
  • A-Key is a portable, tamper proof (FIPS Level 3 Compliant), hardware based two-factor authentication device that is smaller than an average house key and as easy to use as an ATM card - ensuring that users will immediately adopt the technology without expensive and time consuming training.
  • The ARemote Client supports Win98, WinME, Win2000 and WinXP
OPSEC Integration

ASASTM provides the ARemoteVPN™ plugin for VPN-1® SecuRemote™/VPN-1® SecureClient™ that ensures that an individual is correctly identified as an authorized user to establish a VPN-1 tunnel by applying a simple but extremely secure approach using a password and the A-KeyTM authentication token to provide credentials during the VPN negotiation process with the FireWall-1 or VPN-1 Gateway. The VPN-1 gateway then, using RADIUS, communicates with the A-GuardTM server that verifies the users identity by performing a patent-pending challenge/response technique based on the shared secret assigned to that A-KeyTM. To protect the network from access by unauthorized users, the VPN-1 session terminates once the A-Key is removed and can only be re-established by repeating the authentication process.
