Product Description: The Mirapoint Internet Directory is a purpose-built, LDAP v3-compliant directory server. As the first directory appliance of its kind, the Mirapoint Internet Directory is an integral part of the Mirapoint messaging infrastructure and thereby provides a platform for service providers to offer subscribers a wide variety of messaging-based, value-added services. The Mirapoint Internet Directory provides high performance, advanced replication, security, and extensibility features needed by service providers in a mixed hosting environment. It also delivers the ease of use, reliability and rapid deployment that service providers have come to expect from Mirapoint products, using the same proven Mirapoint MessageBase(tm) technology for fast, reliable data storage.

OPSEC Integration
The optional SmartDirectory with VPN-1/FireWall-1 enables seamless integration with the Mirapoint Internet Directory. Using the Check Point and Mirapoint solution, administrators can create, manage, and associate user information in Mirapoint's Internet Directory with VPN-1/FireWall-1 based enterprise security solution. Security and access information such as user names, passwords, authentication schemes, etc. can now be directly accessed by VPN-1/FireWall-1 module to enforce enterprise security policy. With this integration, security administrators no longer have to maintain a separate user database for VPN-1/FireWall-1, thus reducing management overhead and offering separation of User Management and Security Management.
