Your firewalls protect your network and the information housed within it from both internal and external attacks. But they also collect a wealth of information stored in their log files-information such as where hacker attacks originate, which employees send the most e-mail, how much bandwidth your organization uses and which employees are accessing inappropriate web sites. NetIQ's Security Reporting Center analyzes the data in your firewall log files to generate valuable reports. It also helps you optimize the security of your network, ensure that employees use network and Internet privileges appropriately and manage network bandwidth requirements. Key Benefits

| OPSEC Integration | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Security Reporting Center integrates with the Log Export API (LEA) of the OPSEC architecture in VPN-1/FireWall-1. When LEA is used, a secure connection is set up between NetIQ Firewall Suite and VPN-1/FireWall-1. This connection provides the mechanism that safely and securely transfers data between the firewall and the analysis engine. By encrypting data at the firewall, LEA ensures that firewall logs are not tampered with during transport. The LEA connection also facilitates the creation of real-time reports without the need to export complete log files at every update interval, saving time and bandwidth resources. |
