Product Description:
iBypass: The Net Optics iBypass Switches provide in-line reliability for IPS devices and can reroute traffic past in the event of a IPS failures, redeployment or maintenance requirements. The iBypass Switch injects an exclusive heartbeat packet into the data stream going to the IPS for stateful link monitoring that can also provide performance information. The iBypass Switch also allows for insertion or removal of any IPS appliance, providing improved flexibility and eliminating network downtime.
iTap Port Aggregator: The GigaBit Port Aggregator is now transformed into passive network status sensor, delivering valuable information captured from the link. It gathers and displays information, such as utilization peaks, bandwidth levels, and error counts. The Port Aggregator delivers wire-speed traffic duplication, and forwarding of aggregated data with unparalleled passive reliability for dual attached performance and traffic analysis monitors.
Both the iBypass Switches and iTap Port Aggregator products deliver all of the above features and benefits, plus SNMP and Web-based functionality for remote access control and management.

OPSEC Integration
Net Optics OPSEC certified network access products interoperate with Check Point's IPS-1. It provides organizations with an additional level of in-line reliability for IPS-1 deployments. Through OPSEC integration the NetOptics Bypass Switch is able to continually monitor the operating status of the IPS-1 system, verifying the state of the link between the two devices and automatically rerouting traffic away from the IPS-1 system in the event of a link anomaly, outage or other type of failure.
