The netVmg Flow Control Platform (FCP) incorporates information that is not available to routing protocols - that is performance RIGHT NOW and actual cost TO YOU. We use this information to make the right routing decision and control routers to behave accordingly. This yields:

Improved performance

  • Consistent, predictable, tunable performance based on end-to-end measurements (eg, across the multiple networks traffic takes from origin to destination)
  • Avoids random, transient packet-loss and latency problems on a flow-by-flow basis

  • Optimally direct traffic according to how you purchase bandwidth (eg, optimal use of minimum commitments, least-cost routing/arbitrage, efficient peak/P95 usage)

The combination of Check Point's leading VPN-1/FireWall-1 product and netVmg's end-to-end routing optimization creates a compelling reason for businesses to migrate their applications away from legacy networking technologies and onto Internet-based VPNs.

We interface with Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 to gain visibility into customer traffic flows. This information is used by the FCP to identify performance pathologies. The FCP then finds the best alternative route, based on customer performance and cost criteria, and automatically updates edge routers using standard protocols.

As a result, the FCP provides the underlying routing infrastructure to further enhance and extend the value of Check Point VPN-1 deployments. Together we solve the main impediments to the wide-spread adoption of IP VPNs over the Internet - Security/Manageability and Performance/Cost.
