Through its CAPI interface, strong authentication is provided to the Checkpoint VPN-1 SecureClient.

SECUDE signon provides strong authentication to Checkpoint VPN-1 products based on smart cards or USB security tokens. Private keys and certificates are stored in the secure environment of a smart card for maximum security and portability.

    Two factor authentication based on smart cards or USB security tokens provides a higher level of security. The tokens are protected by a PIN, users must physically own the token and know the PIN to successfully authenticate to the Checkpoint VPN-1 Firewall.

    Contrary to password or soft certificate-only solutions, smart card-based Single Sign-On can store personal cryptographic elements locally on the smart card, allowing users to work at any PC workstation (free seating). Password generation and change of passwords are performed without the interaction of the user, and thus offer a very high level of security.

    Because it supports PC/SC, PKCS#11 and Microsoft Crypto-API (via CSP), SECUDE signon can be integrated into any PKI environment with no problem. Moreover, the product supports various smart card readers, USB security tokens, smart cards, and JavaCards.
  • High Availability and Acceptance
    The integrated self service functions in combination with SECUDE's card management system ensure a high availability of the smart cards and USB security tokens – this means high user acceptance and productivity.
  • Seamless Integration
    The integration with the Checkpoint VPN-1 SecureClient is simple through the standard CAPI interface. Enhanced interoperability is provided by using standard Checkpoint interfaces (e.g. Notification of card removal).
  • Vendor independent smart card and USB token support
    SECUDE signon supports a wide range of smart cards and USB security tokens. The solution is vendor independent and can easily integrate new tokens and their middleware.
