Company Description: Silicom Connectivity Solutions, a part of Israel’s RAD group, develops and manufactures high-performance network communications connectivity solutions. Its flagship product is an extensive line of high-performance, multiport, Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface Cards (NICs)/Server Adapters used to improve the throughput and reliability of Internet appliances (security appliances, network management appliances, etc.), server-based/storage solutions, Video on Demand and content delivery systems and high-end computing applications. Each adapter in the product line offers highest-speed multiport connectivity together with CPU offload functionality. In addition, some can be configured with state-of-the-art Bypass capabilities or full TOE/iSCSI functionality.

Key Features and Benefits
The Silicom PXG2/4/6 Server Gigabit adapters are 64-bit/133MHz PCI-X network interface cards that contain two independent Gigabit ports on one PCI-X adapter.

Silicom PX-Series Server Gigabit adapters are the ideal solution for implementing multiple network segments, mission-critical high-powered networking applications and environments within high performance servers.

Silicom PX-Series Server Gigabit adapters have an integrated hardware acceleration that performs TCP/UDP/IP checksum offload and TCP segmentation. The host processing offloads accelerators frees CPU for application processing

The Silicom PX2BP/PXG4BP/PXG2Fi-BP Server Gigabit adapters are 64-bit/133Mhz PCI-X network interface cards that contain two/four independent Gigabit ports on one PCI-X adapter.

Silicom’s PXBP-Series GBE Bypass adapters are designed with a built-in copper, (PXG4BP / PXG2BP), or optical, (PXG2BPF / PXG2BPF-LX), bypass circuitry in order to provide maximum up time for the network.

Silicom’s PXBP-Series Bypass its Ethernet ports on a host system failure or upon software request. In Bypass mode, the connections of the Ethernet network ports are disconnected from the interfaces and switched over to the other port to create a crossed connection loop-back between the Ethernet ports. Hence, in bypass mode all packets received from one port are transmitted to other port and vice versa. This feature enables to bypass a failed system and provides maximum up time for the network.
