OPSEC Integration
The integration between the Sun Java System Directory Server 5.2 and the OPSEC framework allows user data to be shared between VPN-1/FireWall-1 and other applications. These two applications are able to reside on different hosts and be maintained by different administrators. The Directory Server is accessible to both the SmartDashboard Client and to the VPN-1/Firewall-1 applications. It controls the types of attributes that can be defined for users, so the process for extending the Directory Server schema must be extended to also incorporate Check Point specific attributes used by the VPN-1/Firewall-1 application.
