OPSEC Integration
Symantec Client Security integrates with OPSEC using via the Symantec VPN Sentry for Checkpoint adapter. The VPN Sentry adapter enables Checkpoint's VPN system to check the status of key configuration items for the Symantec Client Security application, including AntiVirus configuration items. OPSEC can check these fields to ensure that the desktop antivirus and firewall are properly configured before allowing the endpoint to access the corporate network. Symantec Client Security will automatically remediate key configuration items like firewall on, virus definitions, Auto Protect status or AutoProtect heuristic levels if they are not configured appropriately.
